John Ireland

Little is known about John Ireland. According to the 1850 U.S. Census, John was born about 1810 in Ireland (probably Belfast.)

In 1850, John was living in Franklin Township, Clermont County, Ohio, about 40 miles southeast of Cincinatti, with his sister-in-law Sophia (Morgan) Ireland, her parents, and her five (at the time) children.

No other record of John's life or death has been found. Some researchers note that he was lost at sea, but that source is unknown.
