Albin Family Genealogy

Albin Roots

We trace our Albin family roots back to James Albin, born 1645 to 1650 in the beautiful central-Britain area of Derbyshire. He married early and moved with his wife Anne to Rogerstown, Ireland. Rogerstown is very near the eastern coast in County Meath, north of Dublin. All six of their children were born in Rogerstown. One or two of their children emigrated to America in the early 1700s; quite a few of their grandchildren did as well.

We probably descend from James and Anne's son, James Robert Albin, and Sarah Cansey. James Robert and Sarah remained in Meath Ireland; their son William emigrated to Virginia, perhaps around 1730.
